Fan Art Day 3!

Via Jenni
As usual, more after the cut.

Well, this seems like as good a place to begin as any to come to a close. Not as many submissions as last time, but hey, whadayagonnado? Anywho, let's relax, unwind, and enjoy us some fan art.

We receive a rather large number of submissions by Lamusiqe13, who seems to have a fondness for MSPaint. These are...certainly something. Have a looksee:

After that, we have some two skeletal drawings of an Andalite and a Hork-Bajir by Annika. I do enjoy me some alien anatomy. Such things are always fun.

And lastly, we received more then a few character studies from Jenni. (You can check out her deviantart over here.) She does a great job of getting each character's personality down, even oneshot characters such as Galfinilan and Mertil.
And that's all! If anyone wants to send me anything else last minute, it shouldn't be too much of a problem putting it up. With that said, I bid you all adieu.

Edit: Logan made a Baby Goes to Z-Space logo. Is that an Iskoort? I think it is.

  1. OK, that Yeerk huggling that brain? Priceless and glorious.

  2. Sorry about the blotches on the skeletons. My scanner is too darn sensitive about the wrinkles on the paper. When I started drawing. I realized that Andalites and Hork-Bajir are about the only aliens in the series with a bone structure. Taxxons have exoskeletons and Yeerks can't have bones to do all that stretching and squishing. I was going to do a Helmacron but I didn't know if their bones would be insect-like or not at their size.

  3. I like the little smile. Is this the inside look on voluntary hosts?

  4. Hey, so this is random, but do we ever find out how old Ax is? Like, I know he's the equivalent of a teenager, but how old is he in actual time? Is it a case of "I am actually 70 but spent 15 years in diapers," or maybe he lives as long as a horse?

    1. I would be sad if Andalites lived only as long as horses. If they are so smart, they gotta live long enough to learn. In the case of their bdy shape, on Earth they probably would only live as long as a horse :( But who knows what the gravity on Andalite-world?

    2. At the beginning of The Andalite Chronicles, aristh Elfangor mentions doing a flower ritual aboard the dome ship for his as-of-then unborn brother.

I don't remember exactly when The Andalite Chronicles take place, but I believe it's around the late 1970's. Assuming the Andalite gestation period isn't exorbitantly long, Ax would have been between roughly 18 years old at the beginning of the series.

  5. Yep, that's an Iskoort. It kinda sucks, but oh well.

Thanks for posting these, Adam. Wow. My crappy little drawings look even worse after seeing everyone else's amazing ones. Great job, everyone else. :)

    1. Your drawings were really nice! They were funny, at the very least. The cartoony-ism made it even funnier!

  7. Are we going to get Adam's Top 10s like we did with Ifi? Or maybe we can get you guys inspired on a new series? I have some ideas...

"Reader Beware - A Goosebumps Review Blog"
"Of Mice and Mice - A Redwall Review Blog"
"Lemony Snicket Hates Kids - A Series of Unfortunate Events Blog"
"Totally Not The X Files - A Zack Files Blog"
"Book of Joe - A Time Warp Trio Blog"

I could do this all day. Gordon Korman, Sweet Valley High...That's just in the Children/Young Adult genre.
